How to Take a Pregnancy Test Photo That Actually Shows the Line
Good photos reduce 'line eyes' and make enhancement tools more accurate. Use this quick checklist.
Timing first, photo second
Take your photo during the test's instructed read window. A great photo of a late-checked test can still be misleading because strips can change as they dry.
Lighting that works
Use bright, indirect light (near a window or under a diffuse lamp). Avoid harsh glare and reflections on the plastic window.
Angle + distance
Hold the phone directly above the test, keep it flat, and fill most of the frame with the result window. If your camera keeps refocusing, tap-to-focus on the result area.
Why this improves enhancement
Enhancers and invert filters work best when the original photo is sharp, evenly lit, and taken from a consistent angle. That consistency also makes line progression comparisons more trustworthy.
