Who we are

Pregnancy Test Scanner is made by an independent developer who builds the Pregnancy Test Scanner app for iPhone. We started it because a faint line on a home test is hard to read, and waiting for an answer is stressful.

What this site and the app do

This website has a free photo enhancer: you can invert a photo of your test, boost its contrast, or highlight pink or blue dye to see a faint line more clearly. Your photo is processed in your browser and is never uploaded. The website doesn't read your test or give a result.

The Pregnancy Test Scanner app scans a photo of your test and gives an AI result, Positive or Negative with a confidence score, and keeps a diary of your tests so you can compare them over several days.

Neither the website nor the app is a medical device.

How we write our guides

Our guides are based on public health guidance from the NHS, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), MedlinePlus and Cleveland Clinic, and on peer-reviewed research. Newer guides list their sources at the end, and we are adding source lists to our older guides.

We update a guide when official guidance changes. Our guides are not reviewed by a doctor, so we don't name a medical reviewer.
