Pregmate Pregnancy Test Faint Line: Budget Test Guide
Pregmate strips are cheap and effective but faint lines need careful reading. Here's how.
About Pregmate tests
Pregmate is another popular bulk pregnancy test strip brand. They're very similar to Easy@Home—affordable, sensitive to 25 mIU/mL, and sold in large packs for frequent testing.
Reading Pregmate faint lines
Pregmate uses pink dye, which is generally easier to read than blue. A faint line with any pink color within 5 minutes is typically a positive. The lines can be very thin though, so good lighting helps.
Pregmate vs Easy@Home
Both are comparable in sensitivity and reliability. Some women find Pregmate has fewer indent issues than Easy@Home, while others prefer Easy@Home's line visibility. Either works well for early testing.
Common Pregmate issues
The main complaints: lines can be very thin and hard to see, dye runs occasionally happen, and test quality can vary slightly between batches. None of these affect accuracy when read correctly.
Best practice with Pregmate
Dip for exactly 5 seconds (not more), lay flat to develop, and read at 5 minutes. Take a photo at the 5-minute mark and use our scanner to enhance faint lines that are hard to see with the naked eye.
